From 21 November to 21 December, the Foundation welcomes the personal exhibition of Roberto Fanari(Sassari, 1982), entitled Galerie des glaces.
The exhibition is the third appointment with the Project Room cycle of the Foundation which makes its space and knowledge available to youngcurators and artists, with the aim of keeping the public up-to-date on the latest trends in contemporary sculpture.
The 2018 cycle, curated by Flavio Arensi, is titled Proust’s Room: an exhibition in three acts, to reflect on the role of sculpture in this historical moment, a pretext to watch society and man.
After the solo show by Donato Piccolo and the second exhibition of the Neapolitan artist Roberto Pugliese, the last act has as its protagonist the sardinian sculptor Roberto Fanari (1984) that recreates a “party hall” typical of the ancient royal palaces, intervening on the perimeter of the empty room, stripping the walls of all the decorative necessities and leaving only the mirrors to interact with the visitor.
The artist prepares his own Galerie des glaces reducing it to minimal lines that demarcate spaces, making hissculpture-architecture a rarefied place where the visitor is alone with himself.
